Welcome to our website

Pennywell Neighbourhood Centre is situated in the heart of Pennywell, Sunderland, and is a community based project with charitable status, and managed by a community led management committee.

It opened in 1990 and was housed for its first 10 years in a disused council property which had formerly been two semi - detached houses.
Pennywell Neighbourhood Centre has worked hard to establish itself in the heart of the community and strives to offer services which reflects the needs of the community it is in.

In 2000, through hard work and determination of both community people and project staff, the project raised enough funding to move into a purpose built premises, shown below, where the services offered have grown.
